Well there's a lot I could say about myself, yet at the same time there really is nothing to say. So I'll start at the beginning, I'm Emma, a normal and average person roaming around the Earth wondering how, or more importantly if there is any way to make my mark on this planet (without selling myself to the media or taking over the world) in the short amount of time there is. I'm really no-one special. I'm no celebrity, super model, actress nor anybody infamous. And I certainly don't know anyone in any high places, as much as I would love to, to make my life easier. No, I'm the majority of the population working towards a goal the hard way.
Throughout the past twenty-one years, everything's come to me at relative ease, I've known the options I've wanted to take and since High School known I want to bring out my creative side and hopefully having a dream job being creative everyday. But only when you're contemplating future life and starting to leave education behind for good, you just begin to realise how much harder it is to get to that dream place.
So for the past five years I have created and fully formed my own place, my own world in which to escape to. It began as a duo of characters, hero and sidekick I suppose is the term, and just figuring out who they were and building fully constructed humans. And then all my time playing video games, drawing and designing and reading book up on book started to meld into one, to help me create a world for these characters. After reading and reading and excellent GCSE English classes I decided that adventure is by far the most enjoyable genre for me to read and write. Splash in a bit of mystery and fantasy and I have a fantastic world for me to escape into and can only dream about being a part of (obviously. That and there are a few concerns regarding the medical side, although no one seems to be written as being ill. Yet.)
A year or so later after finishing High School, I delved into planning a book that I would love to read and explore. I created map upon map, to get the right shape. Sketches upon sketches to get the right land form. Doodles, doodles and doodles to explain core ideas and to link the elements up. I must have acquired a library of research by now, and reams of pages culminate my thoughts, inclinations and definite statements on what has happened in this world and what is to happen. It is only the last part of the journey that is left to be fully planned.
And this blog here is my little space for that. I will write down some interesting explorations and hint at possible final ideas. (So if anyone thinks they're getting a sneak at my whole book and story plot, think again ... Although I do wish you luck in deciphering any of the riddles and bits of my language that I may post.) Hopefully when I start writing I'll give progress updates, and when I've finished writing, a celebration and a bit of a moan about how hard it is to get published. (So they all say.)
